Having a belly dancer at your next event adds flair and spice. Ru’yah’s performances vary with the amount of time requested and the performance space provided.

A Glimpse of Her Performance

The music begins and out comes Ru’yah making a dazzling entrance with a veil. A taqsim adds an air of mystery as Ru’yah performs a slower number with her veil or balances her sword. She may descend to the floor for some hypnotic movements. Floorwork requires graceful strength and highlights the dancer’s skill. Ru’yah only does floorwork if the performance space allows the audience to see her. A raised stage or performance space in the middle of the audience provides the best visibility for this unique skill.

As the last flowing notes Ru'yah with Cane of the taqsim ends, Ru’yah rises to the invigorating sounds of the drum solo. During this song, Ru’yah transforms her body into a percussion instrument in time to the music. Guests are welcome to clap along with the music. A rousing finale follows where the audience is invited to dance with Ru’yah. After a water break, Ru’yah can lead the audience in a belly dance lesson if so desired.

Ru’yah maintains a child-friendly, family oriented flair throughout each performance.   In fact, Ru’yah provides entertainment for “Princess Parties” and other coming of age affairs (see the list of suggestions for more details).   Ru’yah allows no costume to over expose herself to the audience, and her costuming choices will be adjusted to satisfy the audience.
